This is a transition week for me. It’s a big transition. Something I’ve done for over fifteen years is going away not by my choice, and I am looking forward to the new opportunities presented to me. And although I’ve known about this for a while and worked hard to get through the emotional changes, it’s still a transition. This is the perfect time for reiki.
I don’t think any reiki practitioners would say that he or she self-treats enough. And yet, this is the very time when self-treatment is needed the most.
So how do you work on self-treatment during these times of transitions?First, schedule yourself in. Take an hour, put it on your calendar. Mark an “out of office” and spend time working on self-treatment. You are too important not to schedule into your very busy schedule. Maybe you can’t get away for an entire hour, but you can schedule yourself for twenty minutes, or even fifteen. Carve out as much time as you can.
Second, spontaneously self-treat. Have a few moments between phone calls or duties? Take a few moments to send some reiki. It’s smart energy; it will go where it needs to go.
Third, set intentions before you go to bed (or take naps) to send reiki to yourself. Not only do I find that doing so sends me into deeper, more refreshing sleep, but it also is a good way to make sure I do self-treat in the most hectic of schedules.
Self-treating is a must during times of emotional stress and transitions. It helps clear your mind, helps relax you, and most of all helps relieve stress. Make time to self-treat with reiki. You’ll be very glad you did.
