Okay, I’ve made a couple of heavy duty posts lately, so I’m going to change my channel to cute.
I just can’t resist this picture I happened to snap of one of our kitties. I was watching a horse training show on television and the next thing I knew, I looked over and he was watching TV with me. I had to wonder what he thought.
We need to do that sometimes, set our inner channel to something different.
Every one of us has something different we can do. Some people like to go outside or go for a walk. Exercising can help release endorphins and get our inner channel moving to something more positive. I like to spend time with my pets, playing “flippy toy” (you know, the mouse on the end of a string) with the cats. They, and I, get exercise, because this isn’t a “mommy cat sits in the chair and watches kitties play” play session. Or even looking at sites like I Can Haz Cheeseburger can put me in a happy mood.
(I’m typing over a cat right now, so see, there’s a smile on my face, because he’s too cute to get mad at. LOL! Even if he is, impeding my blogging.)
The important thing is that we recognize when we need to change that needle and then do something about it. No matter what we do, finding time to smile, to laugh, to play, every day will help us get out of our grumpy moods and put our channel setting firmly on Happy. It’s like the commercial says, “Get up and play an hour a day!” We might not be kids in need of physical exercise, but we do need to play.
What’s your channel set on and how do you change it to happy?
